		<description>I made the statement because of this line in the article I had linked to “Palmer admits he cheats if daily trips exceed 100 kms -- he then needs to use a back-up battery, charged by electricity from solar panels.” This indicated to me that the vehicle used both direct solar power and battery power to propel the vehicle in a hybrid fashion.

Upon going to the solar taxi website, however, I now see what you mean, so thanks for the clarification.

Hybrid normally means dual propulsion and you probably used the term because the car is pulling a lightweigt trailer with cells. It could also work as a full plug-in with batteries.
